Up Next: Lake Anna
The Lake Anna playdate is almost here!
Disc dogs and their humans will be doing some lakeside relaxing on Aug 28th & 29th at Dukes Creek Marina. We have reserved camping sites for both nights so feel free to arrive anytime on Friday. Just be sure to get there by 8:30 am Saturday or you’ll miss the boat! We have rented a pontoon boat for all day Saturday and will be leaving the marina at 9:00 am for a day on the lake. In addition to your regular beach/pool type gear you may want to bring some water shoes for walking around the in the lake. We have several floats and noodles but feel free to bring whatever water toys you want, and discs that float of course.
The Shields will provide all the main dishes for all the meals both days and ask that everyone brings something to share. There are a couple of disc dog games planned for early evenings and campfires for after dark. The Marina has a restroom with showers, a store that sells basic grocery items, snacks, soda, ice, and even pizza. There will be a full size gas grill, and camp stove for cooking, as well as a generator for charging phones.
